Russian and Georgian food in Lloret de Mar
Russian and Georgian cooking have their own traditions. Pelmeni and khinkali both use filled dough, but differ in shape, size and the way they are served. At El Lavash, our workshop in Lloret de Mar brings these products together with lavash in a range for food businesses.
Pelmeni and khinkali: what is the difference?
Pelmeni are small filled dumplings, commonly with meat, often served with butter, sour cream or a sauce. Khinkali are a Georgian speciality: pleated dough parcels whose meat versions contain broth. Traditionally, you hold the top and eat them by hand, taking care with the hot broth.
Lavash is a thin flatbread used for wrapping or serving alongside other food. The three products suggest different uses for a menu or shop range; they do not share one preparation method.
